Eight months goes so quickly. Especially when you’ve got such an easy going baby like Tegan. I swear if we could bottle her and sell her we’d make a fortune. These were taken on the side of our house. This really does go to show that often spots that you never would imagine can make for great photographs. The side of the house provides a nice chanel of light. I was a little upset six months ago when Mark decided to weed the side of the house – he just didn’t understand how much they added to my photographs. However, thankfully weeds grow back!
I found this rediculous hat in a second had shop called Kids Kaboodles and the baby legs from the ABA shop in brisbane. I think they photograph well.

This was Mark’s favourite.

I’m not sure if I might prefer it in black and white?

I tried a subtle vintage feel for this one.

And another go at the vintage.

This is one Mark took of me and Tegan recently. I really treasure any photos I can get of me with my kids. These days will pass quickly and I want to be able to remember how great it is to bring a smile to my kids faces.

Well Tegans now 7 and a half months and is crawling everywhere, pulling herself up on furniture, eating, saying mumma and generally getting up to mischief. Here’s a few happy snaps of here – not my best work obviously but I do try to take “ordinary” photos of my kids too so I can remember what they were really like. I really don’t do it often enough. Every parent has to have a photo of their kids in a laundry basket!

Tegan looooves watermelon – I reckon she’d stay there all day if I let her!

Natalie is going through a stage where she loves trying on new clothes. She’s also obsessed with socks but that’s another story. Anyway, she really like this fluffy jacket that my mum picked up somewhere so I took her for a walk down the road for a few photos. She has always been into her bears and dolls. We can rarely leave the house without one.

This is one of those photos that I look at and think it could have belonging in my photo album when I was a kid. We look so similar at this age.

And then I look at a photo like this and think she looks so much like her Dad!

Tegan has been moving around for over a month now – mostly belly flopping, bum wiggling and rolling. However, in the last few days she’s got the whole movement thing going. It’s amazing to see the progression from this sleep baby to a mobile little person!

Daphne made this one as well. These photos were all shot inside our house. I had to mop the floor so I thought I’d clear the dining room for some photos.

In case anyone is wondering. I rarely do anything to Tegan’s eyes. They are naturally very prominant and a beautiful blue. I haven’t done anything to them in this set that I didn’t do to the rest of the photo.

Mark’s mother made this hat for Natalie. I think they photograph well.

I know it looks like she’s easy to take photos of and pose but don’t be fooled! Taking photos of Natalie is an art. She always does the exact opposite to what you tell her to do. In this case, she climbed on the chair because I’d been on it. The one on the floor was when I wanted her to get on the chair.

Well Tegan in up on all fours and threatening to start crawling any day now so I thought I’d better take some time for some photos before she’s on the move. Here are a few I’ve taken in the last few days. Tegan is 5 and 1/2 months.
